Shortly before leaving for the semester, my brother started a Minecraft Realms world with me and my other siblings. I’ve really enjoyed it, as it gives me a little something to take my mind off of the stress of the world. I haven’t played Minecraft in a while, so it took a while for me to adjust to all of the new features. For instance; did you know that Mojang added different breeds of dogs to the game? I didn’t! Imagine my surprise when I was wandering through an oak forest biome and a brown dog wanders across my path. I thought my brother had modded my game for half a second! But he explained the new breeds of dogs to me. So that’s cool.
I’ve also started a new crochet project recently. It is a winter hat, but it has a design of cardinals on it. I thought my mom might like it for Christmas when I found the pattern. This project is my first time using tapestry-type color changes, so that has been fun to learn. I know it might seem like starting my mom’s Christmas present in August might be overkill, but crochet projects take time. I’ve been working on the hat for over two weeks now, and I really only have the bottom ribbing done. And the color work takes a while!
Anyway, I’ll be honest, this post was mostly a test to see if my website is working the way it is supposed to. If I can figure out how to create some more subdomains that can link to this website, I might make a separate blog about crochet! But that’s a future Jackie problem. See you soon!
