This semester has been pretty stressful, if I’m being completely honest. The tax internship took a lot out of me, but thankfully, I’ve been doing well the past few weeks since it ended. I was bummed that I wasn’t able to go home for Spring Break, but it worked out in the end, because my parents and my sister came down and visited me for a bit.
Let’s go over my goals for the semester and see what I’ve been able to accomplish.
- Take time for myself to relax
- I kind of did this…in the past few weeks. During Tax Season, I was pretty much only a tax-schoolwork machine. I’d say 3/10 for meeting the goal.
- Do well in classes (at least AB in all of them)
- I did this! I guess I won’t really know until finals week, but as of right now, I have an A in all of my classes. 10/10 for meeting this goal.
- Do well in tax internship
- I did this, too! I did so well that they even invited me back to work for them next year. 10/10 for meeting this goal.
- TRY TO SLEEP
- Umm…kind of? I had some nights where I slept poorly (like, 4 or 5 hours of sleep), but I had others where I slept very well. I do think that the good nights outweighed the bad nights, so I’d say a solid 7/10 for meeting this goal.
- Spend time with friends
- Sure, why not? I had friends over at my place pretty much every night (sometimes even when I didn’t want them there). Also, I went to a few gatherings and spent time with people I enjoyed being around. 9/10 for meeting this goal.
Overall, this semester has really challenged me in regards to my work/school/life balance. It was tough to get through at some points. But I’m glad I made it. I look forward to seeing what adventures the next semester brings!
